She stepped out into the rain barefoot, her purple umbrella held gently in her hand. The strap hung loosely around her small wrist. It was pouring outside, like a cold monsoon. She smiled gently closing her eyes as she dropped her arm to her side, leaving her open to the elements. Her grin grew wider as the cold rain hit her face.
A giggle erupted from her, thinking how silly she must look. She didn't understand why she enjoyed the rain so much especially since it was cold, but she did. The fresh smell of it, the sound as it hit the tree leaves and pavement, the cool feel of it against her skin as it soaked her hair and clothing.
